Our Story
We didn't start a brand. We solved our own problem.

It Started With a Simple Problem
You open your wardrobe and there it is, a pile of t-shirts. Some too tight. Some boxy. Some stretched out. They never quite fit right. Never last long. Never feel premium. We got tired of it too.
The Fit Was Always Off
Even the expensive tshirts didn't get it right. If the shoulders fit, the belly clung. If the arms looked good, the chest felt tight. We tried sizing up, tailoring down, switching brands and nothing worked.

Cotton Doesn’t Last
A few washes in and they’re done. The neck stretches, color fades, fabric pills. Cotton may feel good at first, but it quickly loses shape and looks worn out. We knew there had to be a better way.
We Went Looking for Answers
We didn’t want to build BASICO on guesswork. So we hit the ground, from Surat to Ludhiana to Triupur to Chennai, visiting fabric markets, speaking to weavers, and walking through mills. We felt the fabrics, asked questions, took notes and learned where most t-shirts go wrong.
The Industry Was Built on Shortcuts
What we found was clear. Most t-shirts are made to look good on shelves, not to last in your wardrobe. Cotton blends, over processed knits, and finishes that fade after a few washes, everything felt fast, disposable, and forgettable.
We Found Our Answer in Nature
After months of searching, we found a fabric that finally felt right. TENCEL, made from Eucalyptus wood, is naturally soft, breathable, and lightweight. The moment we felt it, we knew it was different.

Softer. Stronger. Smarter.
TENCEL doesn’t just feel good, it performs. It stays cool on the skin, resists wrinkles, and keeps its shape wash after wash. It also uses less water, less land, and no harsh chemicals. This was the fabric we had been searching for, and it became the foundation of every BASICO t-shirt.
We Didn’t Guess the Sizes — We Tested Them
Getting the size right was essential, so we didn’t rely on charts or guesswork. We tested samples on thousands of real people with different body types. The result is a size range made for Indian men - clean, flattering, and tailored without the tailor.

No Logos. No Prints. No Distractions.
We grew up thinking bold graphics and big logos made a statement. But over time, we realised the louder the clothes, the less they said about you. So we stepped away from the noise. At BASICO, the statement is in the simplicity, the fit, and how it makes you feel.
This is BASICO
We're not here to build a brand. We're here to fix what's broken for ourselves, and for everyone who's ever bought a t-shirt that didn't feel quite right. The ones that fade too fast, fit awkwardly, or look good for a week and then disappear into the back of the wardrobe.
At BASICO, every decision is intentional. The fabric, the fit, the finish all chosen to serve one simple purpose: to make a t-shirt that finally lives up to its role in your life. One you can count on, wear often, and feel good in, every single time.
This isn't fashion. It's just how a t-shirt should be.

I’ve seen how the right fit can change how someone carries themselves. With BASICO, we built timeless t-shirts - no logos, no gimmicks. Just solid colors, sharp fits, and quiet confidence. Not hype. Just what should’ve always existed.

BASICO started from a simple problem. I couldn’t find a tee that fit right. They were either baggy, tight, or lost shape too fast. So we made one that fits well, feels good, and lasts. No fuss, just the basics done right.
